The tourism centre in the Postojna Cave park includes the Hotel Jama***, with double/twin rooms, all with bathroom (shower, WC and hairdryer). Some of the rooms also have a minibar and television.
A park by the river Pivka contains the reconstructed Modrijan's Mill, whose old millwheels are driven by the water of the river. Next to it stands a sawmill, carefully restored so as to recreate the appearance of the old Notranjska sawmills, and a wine shop offering selected Slovenian wines, homemade bread, cheese and ham. On warm summer days barbecued food is served in the garden of the Modrijan Farmhouse. The nearby apiary gives visitors the chance to learn about the health-giving properties and goodness of bee products – and the opportunity to buy them too.
The "Pod skalco" shop at Postojna Cave and Erazem's shop at Predjama Castle offer postcards, books, videos and DVDs about Postojna Cave and Slovenia and also genuine Slovenian souvenirs. You can also stock up on snacks, cold drinks and other products.
